Abstract
This survey was conducted in an elementary school in Curitiba. The Group of participants here in study represents a cutout from the body of students of this institution of higher education and that are considered in situation of inclusion. In music therapy concept, sought to assist children with learning difficulties, whether with or without disabilities and/or mental. The attendance are individual and/or group and seeks the best physical, mental, emotional, social, it is in training, but also positive changes in the school environment. From the reflection regarding professional experience that six years ago she experiences the reality of inclusive school, is that if this work was planned and developed. The goal outlined was to contribute to the description and analysis of processes and practice music therapy in elementary schools in their pupils with special needs. For this purpose were applied and analyzed observation protocols, prepared for this survey, where registered physical reactions, students ' cognitive and emotional during musical activities and interactions. The results showed that the music, when element mediator of communication at music therapy enabled, for this group of children, open and alternate forms of sound expression, affective and cognitive.
