MUSICOTERAPIA NA GERONTOLOGIA: POSSIBILIDADES EM TEMPOS DE PANDEMIA DA COVID-19

Resumo

A pandemia da COVID-19 causou grande impacto na população. Para os idosos, as consequências negativas incluíram um aumento na discriminação etária e sentimentos de solidão e isolamento social. Na musicoterapia, as entidades representativas publicaram orientações aos profissionais por meio de materiais informativos, e o atendimento remoto está sendo oferecido no Brasil em caráter experimental e temporário. A prática em gerontologia, neste período, pode oferecer benefícios para a saúde física e mental dos idosos, no entanto, as limitações e demandas do uso da tecnologia devem ser levadas em consideração. Este artigo tem como objetivo oferecer um panorama atual e indicar possibilidades na atuação do musicoterapeuta no atendimento remoto a pessoas idosas durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Dentre as possibilidades no atendimento remoto, podem ser citadas: o levantamento de músicas e canções de preferência; a utilização do ritmo para dança e respiração; a composição musical; a prática indireta de musicoterapia, entre outras. No futuro, os benefícios e também as implicações negativas do atendimento remoto, como as limitações da tecnologia e o distanciamento físico é importante que sejam avaliados. De qualquer forma, é possível que esses aprendizados sejam agregados à formação e à prática da musicoterapia.
