Avaliação em musicoterapia e demência: music in dementia assessment Scales e outros instrumentos de avaliação

Resumo

A musicoterapia melhora o nível de bem-estar da pessoa com demência, promovendo um melhor humor e estimulando as funções cognitivas. No entanto, apesar do aumento das intervenções nesta área de estudo, várias revisões indicam a necessidade de mais investigação e de instrumentos de medição especializados e validados. Este artigo pretende destacar a importância da avaliação no campo da musicoterapia, descrever os principais instrumentos existentes aplicados na área da demência e apresentar brevemente a Music in Dementia Assessment Scales (MiDAS), adaptada e validada em espanhol (MiDAS-ESP).
