Established in 1996, the Brazilian Journal of Music Therapy (BRJMT) is the journal of the União Brasileira das Associações de Musicoterapia (UBAM). It follows an open-access policy, with no article processing charges. The journal operates under a continuous submission model alongside thematic calls, is published biannually, and adopts a double-blind peer-review process.
BRJMT is dedicated to the scientific publication of original works, including manuscripts previously deposited as preprints, in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, addressing topics related to Music Therapy. Submissions must fall under one of the following categories: theoretical studies and essays, research-based articles, interviews, reflective professional practice reports in Music Therapy, methodological articles, translated publications, and book reviews.
