Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic disease, known by its acronym COVID-19, has had implications for Music Therapy practices on the national scene since March 2020, given the states of social isolation and social distance. With the suspension of activities in the country's federal universities, the extension project “Hospital Music Therapy: Empathic Eyes” developed remote actions, on social medias, under the name “Música Para QuemCuida” (Music For The Ones Who Give Care) - a virtual campaign of song dedications in support for health professionals who are facing the pandemic situation. This study report how the campaign has developed and seeks to understand which health aspects were promoted among the interactants involved in this action. Although the focus of the work is not considered a Music Therapy intervention, we found health benefits were achieved, such as stress relief, feelings of gratitude, mobilization of affections and emotions, as well as the formation of a network of subjects who produce and are produced by music in health.
