Abstract
This article is derived from my research dissertation: Beyond the Music Therapist; A Study About The identity construction Of The Music therapist, In Phrase-Based on Syntagma Identity-Metamorphosis-Emancipation. Still in progress at the post graduate in Social Psychology at PUC-SP program. The proposal in this paper a brief and quick survey research and a theoretical essay on the identity of the Music Therapist and his profession, investigating facets and historical, scientific spheres, training, operations, and regulatory
recognition, status and stigmas. Through theoretical assumptions and concepts of identity theory in (CIAMPA, 1987), and understanding of the words Identity-Metamorphosis-Emancipation, We try to make a brief exploration of these aspects mentioned above.
