Ethics: From Reflection to Practice of Musical Therapy Students’ Education

Abstract

This paper inquires how third and fourth years students of Music Therapy in a Paraná's undergraduate institution, in the year of 2013, get in touch with reflections about ethics and how they incorporate it in practice, during academic years. The methodology consists in documentary research and a seven students’ focus group. The data analysis occurred based on Bardin's (1979) content. Four axis are discussed: I) Ethics and subject; II) Professional ethics; III) Undergraduating ethics; and IV) Normative ethics. The
research contributed with ethic reflection in music therapy, both in academic years and professional exercise of music therapists.
