Abstract

This study aimed to investigate what has been produced in the literature regarding the use of music during gestation. A systematic review was conducted using the Scielo database and some national and international journals as a research source. The papers analyzed point to a positive impact of the use of music during prenatal care, both for the pregnant woman and for the baby. Among the results, it was evidenced that music reduces the anxiety level of pregnant women, collaborates for the early establishment of the mother-baby bond, among other effects. The music therapist is the professional who stands out most in the use of music with pregnant women and hearing is the most used method in interventions.
