Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify the themes published in articles from 2009 to 2019 in Brazilian Journal of Music Therapy / Revista Brasileira de Musicoterapia. This review included 105 articles in which titles, abstracts and keywords were read in order to identify methodologies, objectives, and thematic areas as well as other related approaches such as transdisciplinary cases, dialogues with areas such as psychology, physiotherapy, anthropology. For analysis and discussion, categorization of identified themes was supported by bibliographic sources. Results showed review of literature and theoretic papers corresponding with the percentage of 42%, whereas qualitative, quantitative research and case studies comprised a total of 48%. The significant number of articles published in the health sphere (60%) confirmed Brazilian Journal of Music Therapy mostly in the health field.
