Expressive aphasic patients can preserve the ability to sing words of familiar songs. This study aimed to describe the music therapy treatment in a patient with expressive aphasia post-stroke and to verify the effectiveness of music therapy through a neuropsycholinguistic assessment pre and post-intervention. The patient´s performance remained stable in the majority of functions. Nevertheless, there was an improvement in some of the language skills, in the Quantitative Production Analysis and in the attention (NEUPSILIN-Af).
