This workwas developedat the Center forRehabilitation andHearing Health Careof the Associationof Parents andFriends of Exceptional of the Anapolis, Goias. We selectedsix childrenwith hearing disabilitiesto participate ingroup careMusic Therapyand Speech Therapy-transdisciplinaryaction-aiming todevelopauditory skills. In theprocess of makingandproducing musicin Music Therapyandstandardstimuliwithin theSpeech Therapy, we found thatthe groupshavereachedbeyond the acquisitionof auditory skills, greatersocial interaction, improved vocalizationand attemptsto articulate withgreater precision, improvedinauditory attentionand increasedmotivation toparticipate in therapy.
