This article is a case study on the work developed with improvisational music therapy with one of the mothers participating in the Music for Everybody. The program offered free services to children and young people with autism and to the relatives of these children, considering the importance of inserting the family in the process of treatment with music therapy. It is approached the importance of improvisational music therapy in the process of empowering this mother, as well as in the rescue of the bond with her children.
