This article aims to investigate and analyze the emergence of contents of violence present in lyrics song listened by young people between 14 and 18 years of a State School of Curitiba. Through the methodology of content analysis and considering themes like violence subjective and objective (ZIZEK, 2009a), were tested six lyrics song, five being the rap genre and one electronic. Could be considered that these, more than just expose contents of violence, denounced the various forms of violence suffered by individuals who are excluded from society, and enable the mediation to the event of catharsis (VIGOTSKI, 2001).
