Abstract

Music has been used as a resource to humanize the hospital environment for different professionals, mainly music therapists and nurses. This article discussed the performance of these professionals in different scenarios. The results pointed music as promoter of well being and a facilitator of integration of participants with the hospitalization environment. Another important factor was the ethic position to promote the patient autonomy through his musical option to enable remembrance that introduced pleasure and comfort. The use of music in hospital environment indicated an intersection space between different professionals that can amplify the humanization of assistance.
