Abstract

Special Education lives a moment of paradigm review. It is fundamental to the legislation that the person who presents special needs have the opportunity of complete integration with society. Schools are undergoing readjustments. In the Music Therapy Clin­ic there was interest in knowing how (lie inclusion is being imple­mented in Ribeirão Preto. What was found was surprising: to speak about deficiency doen't seem to be very adequate. Families deny their chiden's deficiency, a fact alson observed in the Clinic; teachers can'l deal with lhe inclusion; students request the return to special schools. Besides special students that have adapted themselves to the regular school system.
